You need the following link to Google+ on your “About me” page:

<a href="https://plus.google.com/1007.....5739" rel="me">Mr so and so</a>

and on your Google+ profile under “about”, you need a contributor to link to your “About me” page.
This creates the following tag:

<a rel="contributor-to" href=".."></a>

and you can then test the page here:
