Copy/extract an dll from the GAC (Global Assembly Cache)

from the command prompt:

Option1
start -> run -> type: “cmd”
“cd c:\windows\assembly\”

Option2
start -> run -> type: “C:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL”

Option3 (ONLY recommended for ADVANCED users)
regedit -> goto -> HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion\
add “DisableCacheViewer” as a DWORD with value = 1
navigate Windows Explorer to “C:\WINDOWS\assembly”
